Pav Bhaji Masala
A master blend of spices used to make special Mumbai Dish~Pav Bhaji, not just a mere snack but a quick meal that can be grabbed on the go. One of the popular street foods of India.
Recipe: Heat the 2 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp oil in a kadhai and add the cumin seeds. When the seeds crackle, add the chilli-garlic paste and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the 3/4 cup fine chopped onions and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Then add 1/2 cup chopped capsicum and sauté for 1 more minute. Add the 1 1/2 finely chopped tomatoes and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, mash well using a potato masher. Add the salt, Spring Star Pav Bhaji Masala, 2 tbsp chilli powder and cook for another 2 minutes. Add the 1/2 cup boiled green peas and 1 1/2 cups of boiled, peeled and mashed potatoes, mix well and cook along with 1/3 cup of water for 1 to 2 minutes, while mashing it with the help of a masher. Finally top the bhaji with 1 tbsp of butter and garnished with 1 tbsp of coriander with Buttered Pav and serve immediately.
